A little glimpse of Shanghai

Here is a glimpse of Shanghai. These are mostly night photos because I think that this is what represent this city the best… and let’s face it, during the day I was eating most of the time!

I was lucky enough to be there just after the autumn festival and during the National Day so the city was packed! But it was nonetheless enjoyable. I really love being in Asia! My mind is so at ease while I am overthere… and the food is so much better! (yeah I am a walking stomach)

Hot’n Cold – Eating like an Asian

Fact: Asian love food. And I am not an exception. I love eating… No better yet I absolutely adore eating! But habitually (i.e. when I am in France) I eat in very small quantities. But drop me in Asia and I am going to town! My recent travels confirmed this. I couldn’t spend more than a few hours without eating something. Crazy! I still wonder how I didn’t come back with 25 more kilos!

Hot this week:

  • Asian food: rice, noodles, soup, candies, I haven’t been able to stop eating these past two weeks!
  • My mailman who surprised me by delivering a quantity of packages I was waiting for, avoiding me the trip to the post office.

Cold stuff this week:

  • The pile of clothes I need to iron. Well after all this traveling around far from home I have to make myself decent again.
  • My cats who broke my favorite cup.
