What will you remember of 2009?

For me it would  be:

  • Friending Amazing Clients
  • Meeting Awesome and Talented fellow photographers
  • Moving to my new place

As 2009 is coming to an end and 2010 is coming up right ahead, I can’t help but reflect on this past year and ask myself what lessons did I learn.

2009 went like a flash for me. I have the impression that I have been riding the bullet train the whole year! And this is a good sensation because basically this means that I have been busy.

2009 was really an important year for me. As I said in this post opening, it’s a year where I met wonderful and awesome people who helped me grow as a person and as a photographer. It’s a year where the focus on my brand is really starting to pay off. And if I have to be thankful to someone in particular it would be to you Internet and faithful readers. Even though I had some trouble and made mistakes along the way, I still learned a lot this year and I step into 2010 more and more confident in the way I manage my business. I still have a long way to go but I have never been so excited by the perspective of a new year!

I have lots of challenges coming up ahead but also lots of fun and interesting times.

And you Internet, if you had one thing to remember from 2009 what would it be?

Hot’n Cold – Snow

Here’s a primer.

I am a big kid.

Okay I am short so that may point in this direction, but in the inside for a lot of things I am still a kid. And when I woke up this morning and discovered that it had snowed during the night, my first reaction was to strap some boots and a big coat, run outside and throw myself in a big pile of snow. Because every competent doctor will recommend this to prevent and cure all kind of diseases particularly the flu. It’s basically good for your health. No, no I am not making this up Internet.

I loved the look of one of my neighbors when she saw me in my jammies starting a snowball fight with some kids in the street.

Evidently I won.

Ok, I lost.

Bad. But there were 4 of them!

Anyway it was grand (and not at all humiliating). I just love snow.

Hot this week:

  • Snow! And snowball fights, and ice skating, and watching your breath mist, and hot chocolate, and… you get my point.
  • The Corbeil Essonnes Comic Festival: I had a great time over there with wonderful friends!
  • NA – Nature Addicts delicacies: at first I was skeptic but this little bad boys are not half bad!
  • The big ass earphones: because you can listen to great music in the subway and they protect your ears from frostbite. Here’s proof:

Cold stuff this week:

  • People who make a long face when they see that it snows. Come on, it’s snow, it’s white, it’s beautiful, it’s cotton like!
  • 10 year old kids who gang up on you on a snowball fight! N.O.T. F.A.I.R.!

Cynthia – Your Place, Your Time

She’s a really lively girl who just graduated and got her lawyer diploma and as she’s heading to enter her professional life, she wanted to celebrate this huge step of her life properly. She took her oath on a late November day and she was supported by her fiancé, her friends and her familly. Everyone was proud of her and she more than deserves it.

She has a wonderful smile and is passionate by what she does, I am sure that she will give it all in her upcoming workplace while staying true to herself.

She laughed a lot during this special day, although she was very serious, she remembered to savour every instant of it and she did have fun.

Cynthia, I had a great day and I feel very lucky that you entrusted me to share this special moment with you and your familly.
