The wedding season is over. Some of you, faithful readers, might think that this is a good time to relax, but on the contrary, this is the best time to prepare myself for next year. If you are following me on Twitter or on Facebook, you might already be aware that I am already working and preparing for 2010.
I believe that in my field of business it is always important to be up-to-date with the current trends and fashion. I need to stay fresh and I need to stay relevant and anticipate on what my clients need or want. That’s why I am constantly working. I feel like an eternal student or apprentice as I am always learning new things. I work on obvious things like my shooting or lightning techniques or on my branding. But I am also working on less obvious things. I read a lot of fashion magazine for example.
And it’s not only because I am a fashion victim curious mind. No, really. Looking at fashion editorials helps me keep up with the current trends and it also helps me find inspiration for posing my clients. I always amaze my brides when I ask about their dress or their shoes or when I talk about labels, fashion trends or jewelry.
But this is part of what I am and what I do. I am not only a photographer, I also need to be the occasional bridesmaid during a wedding.
I agree, it helps that I am a fashion victim hard worker.
So I thought that I might start sharing some great resources I come across to my brides-to-be. Let’s start by a wonderful blog: Style me pretty. If you are looking for great things to feel fabulous and to help you prepare your wedding, go and check it. This is a great resource and you might find great ideas to set your wedding apart!
Oh and for the record this post was not to justify my shoes and clothes addiction… Okay maybe it was a little… (Did it work?)
