Yi Shiean – Your Place, Your Time

Second photoshoot with the sweet and kind Yi Shiean, and still lots of fun.

We shooted in the Chinese Gardens in Singapore but I was interested in everything save the Chinese artifacts to include in the shoot. In the end I wanted to try something a bit different with light, and make it more visible, even though it is subtle it still adds a nice different touch.

Vass – Your Place, Your Time

Meeting Vass and working with her was like spending time with a big bowl of sunshine. She is so joyful and easy going that it is contagious. I really like her attitude.

We wanted to shoot something simple and relaxed, a bit like a lazy Sunday shoot. In the end it was very enjoyable, we had fun and we are definitely working together again.

Kacey – Your Place, Your Time

I really like working with Kacey she is a very kind and sweet girl and we seem to always have the same train of thoughts.

We didn’t really plan this photoshoot, we just had one idea and finally we switched to completely something else which is fine as I like to improvise.

Flore & Samuel – Wedding

Shooting Flore and Samuel wedding was amazing because of a lot of small details.

Firstly: it was in two parts in two different atmosphere: one very French in Normandy with a Corse flavour, and one so engrained in Jewish tradition that it felt fresh.

Secondly: it was a party from beginning to end.

Thirdly: Knife. Cake. Floor. Nuff said

Yi Shiean – Your Place, Your Time

Yi Shiean is a very enjoyable girl to hangout with. She is bright, she has a very interesting conversation and is very open minded. She is a graphic designer and thus is very sensible to everything related to imagination and visual arts.

It was very refreshing to talk while we were shooting together. I am convinced that this could very well be a person I could become friends with.

For this photoshoot, we decided to explore some movements, we were looking towards something bright, flashy and yet simple. I kinda like how it turned out. Shooting outside in Singapore is quite interesting, there are lots of cool places to take advantage of but the harsh light can definitely be a challenge. It is a nice change of pace than in Europe.

Kacey – Your Place, Your Time

I feel like I am very lucky to have met Kacey. She is the sweetest, cutest, hard working girl I have had the occasion to work with so far here in Singapore. We really had a great time, exchanging ideas before actually staging things.

She is still a student, very focused on what she wants to achieve. She has known hardships in life but she doesn’t give up. And even though she may still be sad sometimes or if she sometimes misses self assurance, I know that deep down she is someone very courageous. She still has her whole life lined up for her, and I am more that sure that good things are waiting down the road.

I really enjoyed shooting with her. It also gave me the occasion to test the light in my new studio place and I have to say that so far I am really happy with it.

Elizabeth – Your place, Your time

Elizabeth has the cutest smile, she is so lively, it’s like talking to a sunshine. And you know how I love having happy, lively people around, so you can imagine how I enjoyed spending time with her.

That’s also why I wanted to setup this shoot by having her bath into the light so that it could reflect her personality and make her shine even more.

Julie & Guillaume – Wedding

Julie had one last instant alone before everything started, I closed the door of the bedroom so that she could have some time for herself and while she was getting ready I could see that she slowly began to relax.

She wanted everything to be perfect and most of all even though she was going to meet Guillaume before the actual ceremony she wanted to keep some surprises for him. And so she refrained from putting the train of her dress and the veil and just put a light white scarf on her shoulder. She winked at me when she told me about her plan and seemed so happy to finally tie the knot.

… And unbeknownst to her, Guillaume has been doing the exact same thing a few hours before when he was getting ready, he kept surprises for her and wanted everything to be perfect for the woman of his dream.

They were so in sync, the day was perfect and they finally said yes to each other.

Marion – Your Place, Your Time

Oh how busy I have been this past few weeks: lots of work and lots of changes in my life but I will tell you about that later on. The important thing is that I am not dead and on the contrary I have been working in order to show you some really nice things. So expect more updates in the days to come.

For now let’s start with this beautiful session we did with Marion near the Canal Saint Martin in Paris. The weather was great and as it was during summer there wasn’t a lot of people around at the time we shot these.

Marion is a great girl, she’s coming to Paris for her studies and she sure wants to enjoy this time as much as she can. She’s full of ambition and yet she keeps a simple mindset which is something I always like.

We ended up drinking tea and hot chocolate in a Café while chatting and I had a wonderful time talking about everything and nothing with her.

Anne-Sophie & Volga – Your Place, Your Time

There’s nothing that screams summer like going to a lake with friends, to enjoy the weather and the cool water while having fun. This was what Anne-Sophie and Volga had in mind when they commissioned me for this photoshoot session. We wanted it glam, fun, and at the same time a bit nostalgic and disconnected from time.
